Let's do 52 Week #10, "Perfect Pair" {Lisa Rappa Photography | Woodstock, Ga Photographer}

     When I read that one of the themes this week was "The Perfect Pair," I told myself that I would not use Ashlyn and Dominic b/c that choice was too obvious for me. But then today while trying to get shots of Ash in these adorable Sassy Pants by Sherbet Baby Boutique, I caught this moment between MY perfect pair. I so love them!

And here's a few more of my loves and the Sassy Pants (perfectly named eh?)...

(I think the leggings make for a pretty cute pair too!)

Let's Do 52 Week #6, "Balance" (theme: Linear) {Lisa Rappa Photography | Woodstock, Ga Photographer}

     This week's theme options were "linear" and "topsy turvy" so gymnastics class came to mind immediately since there is a whole lot of topsy turvy in the parent-tot class and of course "linear" presents itself in a few different ways as well. I love watching Miss Thing in action and especially when she's facing her fears (though there aren't many). But having this time with her is something that I cherish and I soak up every moment that I can b/c I know one day she'll be too cool for me and I won't always get to be right there in class with her.

Let's Do 52 Week #5, "Fish Faces" {Lisa Rappa Photography | Woodstock, Ga Photographer}

    One of this week's themes is "Self Portrait With Loved Ones." I am not a big fan of self portraits, but I decided to go with this theme b/c I am rarely in front of the camera and I want my kids to have pictures to look back at that include me every now and then too. And well honestly, this one just kind of happened and I knew this week was going to be another busy one, so I used it.
   On this particular day, earlier this week, Dominic had been napping on his little pad in "Mommy's Work Room." This has been our new thing. He can nap in here w/ me or we just have quiet time while he plays with letters and such, and I get just a little work done. Since there is none of that to be had while Miss Ashlyn is awake :) She can't resist pulling out each and every prop in the room of course. So, Dominic had actually fallen asleep on this day and I got super tired myself and tried to lay down next to him to close my eyes as well, which of course lead to him waking up. Anyhow, he looked at me and said he wanted to "do pictures," and of course I obliged, got the remote and we made funny faces at the camera. I liked this one because I just love his little fishy smile, and it's just...us (without too much focus on me). Remember, this was TIRED time, so I look it and he's got bed head. And I was totally caught mid-fish face- I can do better! :)

Let's Do 52 Week #4, "Behind Bars" {Lisa Rappa Photography | Woodstock, Ga Photographer}

52 Week Project Photo Paint the Moon Photoshop Actions PSE

    Well, getting this one in a day late and my goal of not photographing my kids every time has not quite happened yet, but this week I am using my slacker card when it comes to the project, b/c it has been a very busy week. One of the themes for next week is self portrait- oh brother.

This weeks theme was "unexpected perspective". With that in mind, I decided to snap this shot of my sweet girl watching me on the stairs, determined to climb up as well (her foot was not stuck, don't worry!).

Let's Do 52, Week #3, "Edible" {Lisa Rappa Photography | Woodstock, Ga Photographer}

    This week's theme options are "negative space" or "everyday tools" and while observing my 18 month old's eating habits this morning, I decided to go ahead and go with "everyday tools." I do always tell her I'm going to eat up these cute little toes of hers. I guess she thought she'd give it a try. ;)

Let's Do 52, Week #2, "Responsible Like Daddy" {Lisa Rappa Photography | Woodstock, Ga Photographer}

     Although the theme options for this week were Responsibility or Open, I still have a bit of a daddy theme going in my own project unintentionally.  Here's what I went with for my interpretation of "responsibilty." ;)

Let's Do 52, Week #1, "Sharing Daddy" {Lisa Rappa Photography | Woodstock, Ga Photographer}

52 Week Project Photo Paint the Moon Photoshop Actions PSE

      Many of ya'll know that last year I signed up for a 365 project where you take a photo a day for a whole year. I was determined to complete that goal, but with business taking off and being the mom of two toddlers, after about 6 months I bowed out. I didn't have much spare time and when I did, I really wanted to focus on my babies and not just through my camera.

   One of my many goals this year is to get better at time management overall and to continue to put my littlest loves first...always.  However, I did really miss the inspiration that I found through the photographer friends that I made during my project and the push to think outside of the box when taking daily photos. So, I have decided to join a Let's Do 52 project with Paint the Moon Photography, which will inspire me with weekly themes, but not make me crazy since it's just a photo a week. I think I can handle this one. Of course, I found myself struggling this week to find the time to squeeze a personal photo in and it's only week one, ha.

    Anyhow, I highly recommend this type of project to anyone interested in photography. I learned so much last year with having an outlet to explore new styles, different subjects, new techniques and especially by stepping outside of my comfort zone at times with self portraits, etc. And even if you just own a point and shoot and could care less about the technical side of photography, it's still a fun way to document a year. You should sign up and if you do, let me know! I'd love to follow your project too. I'll be posting my weekly themed shots in the Flickr group and also here on my blog for those that are interested!

    This week's theme options are "sharing" or "natural". I have been busy working this week, but decided to bring along the camera for a stroll with A and D to the pond and trail in our neighborhood that we love exploring. I thought surely I would find something "natural" at the pond. Yet of course my camera kept finding it's way back to my kids...I just can't help myself sometimes. I got a few shots that were technically so MUCH better than this one, but when "Daddy" joined us after work and my kids faces lit up, I knew that sharing would be the theme of choice for me. I often think about how they have to share our attention and love. Luckily, neither seem to mind too much(most of the time)!
